Lithium: no standard yet, but we are ready!

Regulations for lithium storage are underway, and ECOSAFE is ready! Lithium-ion batteries are everywhere, but they hide dangers: thermal runaway, fires, explosions. Worse still, a battery fire is self-sustaining: conventional fire extinguishers are not enough. The solution? Ultra-secure storage. ECOSAFE has designed fire-rated cabinets certified to EI 180 min type A1 (standard NF EN 13501-2). This means: 180 minutes of fire resistance from the inside out: the battery burns without spreading the flames. Non-combustible materials (type A1): no contribution to the fire. These cabinets also meet other strict standards (EN 14470-1, FM 6050) for total protection — because with lithium, safety is non-negotiable.
